The release of Lingusamy's
Paiyaa last Friday (April 2) has kickstarted the summer box-office. Next action adventure film on April 14 is Arun Vijay's
Maanja Velu, which the trade believes may turn out to be a masala entertainer that lure the B & C viewers to the theatres. Sundar C has two 'masala' entertainers releasing on the same day (April 16),
Vaada and
Guru Sishyan.
The big summer movie is definitely going to be Sun Pictures Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 50th Golden Jubilee action adventure
Sura, scheduled to release on April 23. Then on May 7, the cowboy adventure
Irumbukottai Murattu Singam is scheduled to release.
The other big summer release is going to be Sun Pictures Suriya as 'Dirty Harry' cop in
Singam, due May end or June first week.
It will be followed by the most eagerly awaited summer release Mani Ratnam's Vikram-Aiswarya Rai
Raavana on June 18. These are some of the films ready for release along with a dozen small and medium films.
