In his initial carrier, Rajini use to select Super hit movies from other languages and act on those movie. Many movies he remake from others languages (you can find those movies in that list ) . Secondly, If any movies which have dual hero subject with equal weight-age, Rajini pickup that story and ask director to mute the weightage of second hero and act on it. eg: Muttu ( Rajini - Sarthbabu)....
