The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Asin has confirmed that she will do the Tamil remake of Siddique's Malayalam Bodyguard with `Ilayathalapathy' Vijay! Asin is likely to do the female lead in the film done by Nayanthara in Malayalam. It is a strong author backed role and is the pivot around which the film revolves.
Actually three years back when director Siddique had narrated the story to Asin she had promised to do it in Tamil if Vijay was the hero. Since then there was a climate change as she became a top heroine in Bollywood and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, she lost interest in Kollywood.
The buzz is that Siddique and Vijay have spoken to Asin, and is waiting for her to give a positive reply before the end of the month, as the film will start rolling in April end. Vijay feels Asin is his lucky mascot as both their films together Sivakasi and Pokkiri were super hits.
