| | The CBO is booming this week as collections touched 96 per cent for multiplexes and 85 per cent for single screens in the city. It was a Christmas bonanza for the trade. Vijay's Vettaikaran, which carries mixed reports, has collection wise been steady and is still the number one thanks to the large number of screens. Aamir Khan 3 Idiots has been very impressive, grossing nearly Rs 60 lakh from nine screens in Chennai, which is a new record for a Hindi film, and is at the number two slot. At number three is Avatar, which is doing 100 per cent at three screens showing the 3D version, though ordinary 2D is not as strong in its second week.
