For all you Vijay fans, waiting to know the release date of Nanban, here it is! The film is scheduled to be released for Pongal 2012, say sources in Kollywood. There were a lot of speculations that the movie would hit the screens on Diwali and then it was said that the filmmakers are eyeing the December slot.

But now we have come to know that the director of Nanban, Shankar, is planning a Pongal release. Nanban is a remake of the Hindi smash hit 3 Idiots and stars Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Ileana, Sathyaraj, SJ Suryah and several others. The film is produced by Gemini Film Circuit.
