After completing a hectic shooting schedule of his most-awaited flick Nanban at the Isha Home School in Coimbatore with Jiiva, Ileana and Srikanth, ace film maker Shankar has shifted his unit to Chennai. Recently, a high action car chase was canned on the busy Kathipara Junction in Goindy in broad daylight. The clever filmmaker shot it on a candid camera setup to avoid any possible disturbances. A few scenes were shot inside Le Meridien Hotel. The latest hot scene is that the hot number Zoobie Doobie from the original flick, where Amir Khan and Kareena Kapoor mesmerized audiences, is being planned around the lead pair Vijay and Ileana at colourful, costly sets erected at the indoor studio on ECR Road. Incidentally, on the same venue, huge, expensive sets were put for superstar Rajni's Enthiran. May be Shankar considers the venue his lucky charm. Unlike his earlier flicks, the multi-starrer Nanban, produced by Gemini Film Circuit, is a short-seem project and will be a Diwali treat for Tamil audiences, says a source. |
